Celebrating the International Day of People With Disability 2012




3 Dec 2012 

Rotary Club of Dhulikhel in collaboration with IED Nepal,CDRA Nepal, Intellectual Disable Parent Group Dhulikhel, Dhulikhel Municipality had celebrated the International Day of People with Disability by conducting different programs from 2 Dec to 3 Dec. On 2 December , Special game were conducted in Banepa along with handover of sport material, Stationary , Literacy box to the students of Adarsha Bal Bikash Kendra Banepa and Intellectual Disable Day Care center Khanal Thok Kavre. Similary on 3 December 2012 , big rally of 200 disable people were conducted along with Art completion and Music competition were  in Dhulikhel . At the same program stationary material along with literacy box and sport materials were  also provided to the Dhulikhel Day care center and Dhulikhel Blind school. The total cost for the program was Rs. 71,000. Rotarian and President of RC Dhulikhel Rasmi shrestha, Rtn Ashok Shrestha, Rtn.Sudarshan Shrestha, Rtn Ranjeev shrestha were present during the program.

Rotary Support Plant-for-the Planet Academy in Nepal

Rotary Club of Dhulikhel along with IED Nepal & Dhulikhel Municipality had supported for the conduction of first Plant-for-the-Planet Academy in south Asia.  The Plant-for-the-Planet the global collation of children and Youth from 193 countries whose aim is to reduce the carbon dioxide concentration through plantation and protection of planted tree.  40 students from 10 different schools had attended this Academy and became climate justice Ambassador.  Teaching the student for the conservation of tree and reducing C02 is very good effort summoned by chief guest, Chief Forest District Officer , Ganesh Roy. Rotarian Ranjeev Shrestha had present during the Academy.

Hiking For Tourism Promotion

Economic development is the base for the overall development of other sectors. For the least developing country Nepal, development in Agriculture, Hydropower and Tourism are three avenues from where Nepal can realize sustainable development. Among them Tourism Industry is the second biggest source of foreign currency after remittance. Embracing these fact and contributing economic status of Nepal, Rotary Club of Dhulikhel in collaboration with IED Nepal, NETIF, RWCHG Nepal and District Development Committee Kavre had conducted one day Namobuddha hiking program on 13 October 2012 to promote the tourism in kavre district along with Dhulikhel . Around 70 people including foreigner were participated on this hiking program. The hiking group were warmly welcomed by Dhulikhel Home stay, the only home stay in Dhulikhel. After three and half hour walked from Dhulikhel,Bhattidada, Kavrebhanjyan, Shyampati , the hiking group reached the Namobuddha, the birth place of Mahasatto (Pre-life of Lord Buddha). The total cost of this hiking was Rs.70,000. Rotarian Ranjeev shrestha, Ashok shrestha, Sudarshan shrestha were present on hiking program.

One Day Free Health Camp For Women


8 September 2012, Pachkhal,Nepal:

With Support of Rotary Club of Dhulikhel and Bhaktapur Hospital Integrated Effort For Development Nepal had organized one day free health camp to women in Pachkhal-9,kavre,Nepal.Around 180 women were benefited by this camp mostly the indigenous group (Danuwar) ,who need such camp badly.Among them 7 were found in critical stage in prolapsed uterus and will receive free treatment and surgery in Bhaktapur Hospital.

Women Health Problem is one of the major problems in rural area of Nepal. They couldn't express their health problem with others .That is the reason mostly women are suffering. And this type of camp could ease their problem. This program was co-ordinate by Rtn. Laxmi Khanal.

Celebrating International Water Day 2012



On the occasion of International Water Day 2012 , Rotary Club Of Dhulikhel in collaboration  and coordination with Integrated Effort For Dev elopement (IED Nepal) ,Rotary Club Of Kavre Banepa, GoodWill Community Foundation, CDRA Nepal , District Development Office Kavre, District Agriculture Office Kavre, Agriculture Bank Dhulikhel, District Water & Sewage Division Office Kavre and RWCHG Nepal had organized the interaction program on "Water & Food Security " . During program expert from environment field express the importance of water for food security . The chief guest former environment minister Ganesh Shah had expressed the view of current scenario of Agriculture status and stress public centric water utilization.  The speaker for these program were Nandu Maharjan (IED Nepal) , Manoj k.Chand (Api Research Foundation Pvt.Ltd) ,Chief of district soil erosion control office Kurshev shrestha , Ashok Banju , Jaycee Shree Krishna Shrestha, Engineer from District water & sewage division office , Buddhist Monk Varti Bhantey and Rotarian Ranjeev Shrestha .Altogether 62 participants from different government and non-government offices were present during program.

Celebrating International Women Day 2012


On the occasion of International womans day 2012,Rotary Club Of Dhulikhel in co-ordination with  Integrated Effort For Development Nepal (IED Nepal) , Rotary Club Of Kavre Banepa, Goodwill Community Foundation, USA, CDRA Nepal, Dhulikhel Women Multipurpose co-operative limited, Aviyan Multipurpose Co-operative Limited, Kathmandu & Dhulikhel Municipality had organized Interaction Program on the topic "Connecting girls, inspiring future". Altogether 64 participants had attained in this program especially the young girls from different colleges of Kavre district. During interaction program advocate from Supreme court Laxmi Dhakal,  social leader & president of Tejganga college Ambubhawani Karki, Rotary Ambassadorial scholar Linsdey, President of Rotary Club of Dhulikhel Ashok shrestha, President of IED Nepal Ranjeev shrestha ,President of CDRA Nepal Kamala Shrestha ,Past president Of Dhulikhel Jaycees Shree Krishna Shrestha and representives from different organization had expressed their opinion to about the issues of girls and women of Nepal. The program was co-ordinated by Rotarian  Laxmi Khanal also the child & women officer of IED Nepal. The program was held on Kathmandu University International Center Hall in Dhulikhel.
