Handover of Urology Unit to Dhulikhel Hospital

Rotary club of Dhulikhel handed over the Urology Unit which include X-ray C-arm device , Ultra Sound to Dhulikhel Hospital on November 3 2014 during handover ceremony at Dhulikhel Hospital. Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University had inaugurated the Urology Unit while president of Rotary Club of Dhulikhel Rtn.Narayan Kapoor Pathak & Rotary members from German jointly handed over to Dhulikhel Hospital.This urology unit greatly help to those patient who have problem with kidney particularly kidney stone . The total cost of this urology unit is USD.87,800. Rotary Club of Recklinghausen , RC Recklinghausen Vest , RC Haltern-Lippe , RI District 1900 , RI Distirct 1870 and TRF had sponsored this project . During handover ceremony president elect Rtn.Ranjeev Shrestha and past president Rtn.Dirgha Raj Shrestha were present.

16th Installation Ceremony

July 13 2013

Rotary Club of Dhulikhel successfully conducted it's 16th installation ceremony on July 13 2013. Outgoing president Rtn.Rasmi Shrestha handed over collar & bell to incoming president Rtn.Udaya Bhushan. During installation outgoing president (Immediate past president) Rtn.Rasmi Shrestha and past club administarition chair Rtn.Ranjeev Shrestha had shown the visual presentation on activities carried out by Rotary Club (RC) of Dhulikhel during rotary year 2012-13.

During installation ceremony four new members viz Mr.Rakesh Yogal ,Mr.Sushil Kumar Byanju & Mr.Rameshwor Parajuli who is also the winner of Rotary Dhulikhel Vocation Award 2012-13 were inducted .The chief guest of the program , Past District Governor (PDG) Rtn. Tirtha Man Shakya had provided rotary pin and manual.Newly elected president Rtn.Udaya Bhushan introduced his new team member for rotary year 2013-14 and expressed he will engaged Rotarian to change the life of needy people.

Inauguration of Boundary Wall at Sahara Orphanage Home

1 June 2013 Dhulikhel

President of Rotary Club of Dhulikhel,Nepal Rtn.Rasmi Shrestha,President of Rotary Club of Amagasaki-East,Japan Rtn.Tanaka and Rotary Club of Seoul-Sung-Dong Rtn.Jung Gun Ho simultaneously inaugurated the boundary wall at Sahara Orphanage Home in Dhulikhel. Rotarian from RC Dhulikhel,RC Amagasaki-East,Japan and   Rotary Club of Seoul-Sung-Dong were present during inauguration ceremony. Rotary Club of Dhulikhel-Nepal , Rotary Club of Amagasaki-East, and Rotary Club of Seoul-Sung-Dong had contributed for the construction of boundary wall.This wall benefits the orphan children living in orphanage home and has provided space for extra activities.This is the opening of mutual co-ordination and support between these three clubs quoted by President of RC Dhulikhel-Rtn.Rasmi Shrestha.

Supporting water pipe for drinking water

5 May 2013, Dhading
Rotary Club of Dhulikhel in partnership with Community Development and Relief Agency Nepal had supported the drinking water project of Mahadevsthan-5,Chapdada, Dhading by providing 2400 m water pipe costing around Rs.1,25,000. This pipe will be used for bringing water form Lebang river. Drinking water has been problem of this area since long time and people of this locality have been facing big problem due to water shortage. Once project get accomplished, around 300-400 people will be benefited including the one primary school. Immediate past president Rtn.Ashok shrestha and Club Administration chair Rtn Ranjeev shrestha  were present during handover ceremony of water pipe.

Rotary Water Project improves Ex- Kamaiyas (ex-Bonded labour) life in Bardia and Kailali

Rotary Club of Dhulikhel and Rotary Club Edwardstown Australia jointly worked to provide drinking water and micro irrigation in Kalyanpur and Ramnager Kamaiya settlement in Bardia and Kailali district.
Rotary Community Corps Kailali has successfully completed to drill 9 water bore of 100 feet to 160 feet deep.  Water project was implemented by RCC Kailali. Entire matching grant project #77094 benefiting 461 household and one higher secondary school children more than 2970 people will get water for their daily use and  in vegetable and farm land to grow more food and vegetables. Recently Rotarian John Price, Ashok Shrestha, Kamala Shrestha and Leighton Price and RCC coordinator Bijaya Karki coordinated with community and Rotary Dhulikhel  and arranged project to hand over 9 water bore including diesel water pumps to the Mukta Kamaiya (ex-Bonded labour)communities in Kalyanpur , Ramnager and Saraswoti Higher Secondary School. Rotary has spent Rs.1,165,916.00. 
Rotarian John of Edwardstown Rotary Club visited in 2009 in the village and donated one water bore which impacted very much in Mukta Kamaiyas life and inspire to provide more water bore as community has repeatedly demanding such support through local RCC club. During the project handover ceremony Rotarian also distributed 480 packets of ten varieties of seeds which was sponsored by Community Development and Relief Agency (CDRA) Nepal.
Rotary  Club of Dhulikhel is also working with Rotary Club of Portland Pearl, USA and CDRA Nepal to build primary school in Ramnager Kamaiya settlement. Thousands of Mukta Kamaiya people were thanked to huge efforts of Rotary for addressing their immediate need of water.

Rotary Nepal and USA collaboration for sustainability and empowerment at Bayalpata Hospital at Accham

Rotary Club of Dhulikhel with the collaboration of Rotary Club of Portland Pearl has installed solar system of 9.12 KVA to supply electical power for the need of Bayalpata hospital in Achham district of Nepal. 48 solar panels, 24 batteries, 2 inverters has been donated to the Hospital. The hospital will be beneficial with access of electricity 24x7 including the surgical unit and biology laboratory. The project was started on 23 August 2012 and completed on 18 February 2013.

Rotary partners - Rotary Club of Dhulikhel, Rotary Club Portland Pearl, Rotary Club of Portland, Rotary Club Seaside, District Designated Fund-D5100 and The Rotary Foundation has contributed the total project cost of US$47,925 under the Matching Grant #76945. With the cooperating agency Nyaya Health and contractor Ghampower Pvt. Ltd., the solar system was handed over to Bayalpata Hospital Director Mr. Stephen Petersen by the project primary contact person Rtn. Ashok Kumar Shrestha and Representative from Rotary Club of Portla nd Pearl Rtn. Jordan Weisman. 

There will be 30,000 patients to get indirectly benefits on each year, while Rs. 9,00,000 will be saved on operating cost of generator every year. Hospital administration, staffs and the patients were feel very happy to get uninterrupted power supply.

Celebrating the International Day of People With Disability 2012

Rotary Club of Dhulikhel in collaboration with IED Nepal,CDRA Nepal, Intellectual Disable Parent Group Dhulikhel, Dhulikhel Municipality had celebrated the International Day of People with Disability by conducting different programs from 2 Dec to 3 Dec. On 2 December , Special game were conducted in Banepa along with handover of sport material, Stationary , Literacy box to the students of Adarsha Bal Bikash Kendra Banepa and Intellectual Disable Day Care center Khanal Thok Kavre. Similary on 3 December 2012 , big rally of 200 disable people were conducted along with Art completion and Music competition were  in Dhulikhel . At the same program stationary material along with literacy box and sport materials were  also provided to the Dhulikhel Day care center and Dhulikhel Blind school. The total cost for the program was Rs. 71,000. Rotarian and President of RC Dhulikhel Rasmi shrestha, Rtn Ashok Shrestha, Rtn.Sudarshan Shrestha, Rtn Ranjeev shrestha were present during the program.
