Integrated Mobile Health Camp in Dhanusha district

Rotary Club of Dhulikhel in collaboration  with Sustainable Rural Community Development Center Dhanusha based NGO and Community Development & Relief Agency (CDRA) had conducted mobile health camp in VDC of Phoolgama, Chakkar, Thadi Jijha, and Teda Kachuri. Camp has organized to served eye patients (834), dental patients (389), Gynecological patients (440) and General health (760) total patients served 2423 for six days efforts of 22 medical team and 25 local volunteers team. CDRA Nepal and Rotary Dhulikhel and local organization spends Rs.750,350/- and per patients expenses Rs.310. Medicine and spectacles distributed for free of cost in the camp. During the camp day various health awareness classes were taken and translated into local Maithili languages by health educators. Medical team, logistics and medicine cost was funded by the Goodwill Community Foundation-USA. Rotary Dhulikhel acquired technical support from Dhulikhel Hospital, Reukai Eiko Masunaga Eye Hospital of Kavre district. The eye team were found151 cataract patients who need cataract surgery and they refer to Janaki Eye Hospital in Janakpur, Dhanusha district. Rotary and CDRA is exploring surgery fee to support poor patients.
