Hiking For Tourism Promotion

Economic development is the base for the overall development of other sectors. For the least developing country Nepal, development in Agriculture, Hydropower and Tourism are three avenues from where Nepal can realize sustainable development. Among them Tourism Industry is the second biggest source of foreign currency after remittance. Embracing these fact and contributing economic status of Nepal, Rotary Club of Dhulikhel in collaboration with IED Nepal, NETIF, RWCHG Nepal and District Development Committee Kavre had conducted one day Namobuddha hiking program on 13 October 2012 to promote the tourism in kavre district along with Dhulikhel . Around 70 people including foreigner were participated on this hiking program. The hiking group were warmly welcomed by Dhulikhel Home stay, the only home stay in Dhulikhel. After three and half hour walked from Dhulikhel,Bhattidada, Kavrebhanjyan, Shyampati , the hiking group reached the Namobuddha, the birth place of Mahasatto (Pre-life of Lord Buddha). The total cost of this hiking was Rs.70,000. Rotarian Ranjeev shrestha, Ashok shrestha, Sudarshan shrestha were present on hiking program.
